A burst pipe or a flooding kitchen can’t wait. If you’re in Killarney or nearby and water is where it shouldn’t be, tell us what has happened and we’ll connect you with a local plumber. Call 089 981 9010 or use the enquiry form.
Do this first while you wait
- Turn off the water at the stopcock. It’s usually under the kitchen sink or near where the supply enters the house. Turn it clockwise.
- Switch off the electrics at the fuse board if water is near sockets or light fittings.
- Open the cold taps to drain the pipes and ease the pressure.
- Move valuables and floor coverings out of the way, and catch drips with a bucket.
Emergencies a plumber can help with
- Burst or frozen pipes
- Leaking or overflowing tanks and cylinders
- No water or no hot water
- Overflowing toilets and blocked waste pipes
- Heating failures in cold weather
Frozen pipes and empty holiday homes
Killarney has plenty of holiday homes and guest accommodation that sit empty over the winter. A small leak in a house nobody’s visiting can run for days before it’s noticed. If you look after a property like this, it’s worth having a plumber check it before the cold weather and leaving the heating on a low frost setting.
How it works
- Tell us what’s wrong: call or send a few details, including your location in or near Killarney.
- We pass your details on to a local plumber who covers your area.
- The plumber contacts you to arrange the work and agree the price with you directly.
Plumbing work is carried out by independent local plumbers, not by us. Ask for a price before work starts, and ask for confirmation of registration for any gas work.
